these things are so nice and bright...i should have replaced my other lights long ago instead of waiting for one to go out. I had been planning on getting a set of Hella's like Stan did but didn't want to wait.doyoulikeithere wrote:<Squinting into Justice's Sylavnia Super Brights =; >
I Popped a rusty brake line, above the fuel tank in my Safari GT. :(

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
I want to finish up replacing the rest of my brake lines eventually. Need to invest in an inverted flare kit first. I've had 2 pop on me going to the rear. I also disabled my RWABS and I think the line pressure is higher because of it.
Besides that, I started splitting the panels ihatemybike let me have off of his parts van. Let me tell you it seems significantly easier than I thought it would be. I'm just using a step point drill bit, no spot weld BS and it seems to work fairly well. I need some dollies and to start cleaning these up after I'm done but hey it's progress at this point.

Replace that 1 with a 2 and you'll have almost as many miles as the "Smilie Van". And it's still running great.

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Finally got around to doing the upper Ball Joint relocation today...
First side took about an hour including running to the hardware store for Grade 10.9 bolts. Second side took about a half hour. No need to separate the ball joint from the spindle just air chiseled the two rivets off and drove the rivets out using the air chisel. Turn the ball joint and slip it out from the top and back in under the arm.

Shampooed the interior and gave her a good clean up then listed her on Craigslist... http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/3656390981.html
It's been a fun couple of years building a driving this van and I want to thank the site and members for all the info but it's time to move on.
Keeping things in the family... bought a full size 2006 Express 2500 just before Christmas and put close to 3,000 miles on that so far.

Too bad you are selling. Your 95 is pretty clean and has a nice stance to it. How is the under carriage? Looks like no rust. :-k How does it shift? Any issues going on with it right now?

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Pretty much rust free... just a little surface rust on the sub frame one drawback of having no oil leaks! Transmission is good never an issue there and there are no problems now... just don't need the van any more and it sits more than being driven. I only put 9,000 +- miles on in the two years since I've had it.LiftedAWDAstro wrote:Too bad you are selling. Your 95 is pretty clean and has a nice stance to it. How is the under carriage? Time for someone else to enjoy it and get the stares from the S-10 & Jeep crowd.
