I think you will just need to measure it up....
The size can vary depending on where you look at it...
I imagine by Front wheel drive, you actually meen All wheel drive?

These vans do not have a separate frame from the body. They are a unibody the built in frame rails are 2x4 inches. The engine , transmission and front suspension mounts to a subframe that bolts to the front of the van. I hope this helps it is hard to tell exactly what your asking with the translator your using.

That sure is handy. Was there a 2000 All-wheel-drive diagram where you found this one?

Nice diagram.Took a copy for my photobucket account.

If it where mine, the minimum would be square tube 2 x 3,but even better like 2 x 4.

There is a user name by Astroracer on:

http://www.clubhotrod.com

In the shop talk section, suspension sub section that is building a complete frame and mounting a Astro body to it.It is one of the most elaborate profession home builds I have ever seen for a Astro van.I think he used 2 x 3 square tube for his.Might want to check that out.Mark really does know his stuff.Has CNC design capabilities.

Before I forget.Astro vans have a very wide wheel base.I found that out by trying to dolly tow them with rental U-Haul dollies. The only way they fit is by using the narrow spare tires on the front.
