Look for a fuse in the under hood fuse box. Should be one as my 98 had one. Unless your van is Canadian, then there probably isn't a way to eliminate it easily.
Current rides:
2013 Toyota Tundra DC 4x4
2008 Dodge Nitro 4x4
2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S Special Edition

Mileage spreadsheet

Vans owned:
1986 Safari 2.5L 4 speed manual - scrapped
1995 Astro 2WD conversion 4.11 posi, shift kit, DHC rock rails - sold to Skippy
1998 Astro 4x4 D44, D60, NP231, full hydraulic system with 9k# Milemarker winch and snow plow - sold to Lockdoc
2003 Astro AWD all stock - traded for a 3/4 ton truck
2005 AWD, 4.10's - sold to skippy

Here is a trick.
Step on the E-Brake just untill the first click (so it isnt actually on much, or at all).
Notice the DRL went out? they should.
release the ebrake and they magically come back on...
2021 Yamaha Tenere 700 - Blue.
2016 Yamaha XSR900 - Silver.
1990 Astro - AWD - Brown.
1987 Astro - With 5 Speed & 4wd - Silver & Blue.

Is the fuse indicated as daytime running lights or just lights??/

Found it??/ :guitar: Pull out the fuse controlling the DRLs. In some vehicles you may be required to replace the fuse with a jumper fuse. In vehicles that require a jumper fuse, if you do not put the  jumper fuse in, the headlights will not work at all. Your user's manual or Chevy dealer mechanic can advise you if you need one. You can purchase a jumper fuse at auto parts stores and from Chevy dealers.
