For all you tree huggers out there, This is the island, sometimes. Eventually they will burn those piles off.
From way up there on top of Mt Brenton, we can see the top of mount Prevost near Duncan, and beyond that is Victoria.
If we were looking the other way, we could see Vancouver and even watch the planes circling the airport.

Looks like a similar location...This is the Cascades though, about 40 miles from Mt. Rainier

Very cool. Where on the Island is that ?

My buddies are planning a circumnavigation of V.I. in July. I've always wanted to do that, but of course I've already got family duty that week. They'd appreciate any recomendations.
