Floor Mats Recommendation needed?

Post by Gangplank »

Anyone have a recommendation for floor mats for the front? The wife wants some rubber ones to keep the carpets looking good.

Saw these at Summit Racing and the price looks ok.

They have a once pieces for $90

Or a 2 pc for $50

Another option is the weather tech but these I'd have to trim myself. Cost $70. I heard they are great but don't know about spending that much on something I have to trim.

Your van didn't come with the stock mats?

Nope... carpets are really clean but no mats. Want to get some for the front and them maybe the rear later.

Not custom fit but trimmable. Not 100% sure they will fit all that well once trimmed.

Do they come fit for the Astro or are they trim to fit?

Perfectly fit. They even make a cargo liner for the rear. No trimming at all!

I have the rubbertite from Lloyd mats, the one you mentioned in the first post. I have the one-piece front mat and I'm super happy with it. It's not a totally perfect fit, but it does fit way better than I expected.

It is very slightly wider than it should be between the front seats, and I think that's because my van has the LT trim which includes plastic covers on the seat bases. If I took the trim off I bet it would be perfect.

Also, on the passenger side the mat covers the wheel well bulge, but on the driver's side it does not. Meaning that the carpet on the wheel well is exposed to wear.

With all that said, I'm still very pleased with the product and I can happily recommend it.
