Intothewild (great book!)
The brush guard was for a full size Chevy pick up. I had to do quite a lot of fabrication. I don't remember the year, but I think the info is here viewtopic.php?f=73&t=7567&start=15
Info and install pics for both mine and Crawlers. Both for pickups but different styles/years.

Good info, thank you! I will play around with the brush guard idea, after the van get's lifted.
And to get back on track..
Here's a picture from the WA coast last weekend, not a soul in sight..Just the way I like it!

Re: Post your advanture photos.
And since this is "post your adventure pictures", not necessarily "post your astro adventures", here's a few from before I had the Astro.
Exploring the Cascades
Snowy Day near Payson, AZ
Martinez Canyon, AZ (The 4RNR was mine)
Sedona
Lightning strike in Sedona atop Schnebly
Awaiting a HABOOB
Coastline near San Francisco
Taking a break from snowshoeing Mt. Rainier, looking towards the Tatoosh Range
Taking another break, this time looking at Mt. Rainier
Canyon Lake, AZ when it was drained
Canyon Lake, AZ not drained
Middle of Nowhere, AZ
Mt. Rainier with Lenticulars shot from above Commencement Bay
Waterfalls among the wonderland trail, beautiful during summer!
Hiking the Superstitions..About half way to the top
Sedona
Some Petroglyphs in the Superstitions
Camping at Butcher Jones
Weavers Needle
I have maaaaannnnnny more, but I think that's plenty

Those were great pics, always welcomed, love the lightning shot.
The Astro on the beach brings back some memories as I don't too often see the exact same colour combo I once had, altho I didn't have the composite lights.
Thanks for sharing the pics...

Awesome shots.
Here's roughly the same beach! Drove it from Westport all the way down till it ends in Tokeland.
I'll bet it was agonizing to say goodbye to the 4Runner.
Where is the wonderland trail? Sounds familiar but I can't place it. Oh, I'm thinking of a mtn bike trail on Galbraith Mtn.

Re: Post your advanture photos.
Glad you guys enjoyed them, if I find myself bored, I will dig through some more of pictures sometime..
I do miss the 4 Runner, although I have had over 30 cars, and I am only 28..I tend to not get overly attached to vehicles. I'm trying to remedy my buying, playing, selling disease. I intend to actually keep the van around..It's too versatile, I love it.
The wonderland trail is the 93 mile trail that circles Rainer..I have only trekked a portion of it, but it's on my list of things to complete if I ever find myself with a week off of work and nothing else to do (Unlikely!)

Re: Post your advanture photos.
btw..I mapped from westport to tokeland..Definitely making that drive down the beach when we are back out there in a couple weeks..Just judging by a quick look of the map, it appears to only be ~5ish miles? Is that close?

Re: Post your advanture photos.
Took a little overnighter into the local hills last night. Finally got one of those cameras they put in the phone, played with it some.
