Tire questions
Hello been a while since I posted, van running great and getting ready to change tires. First I was thinking of lifting slightly, but now think it will be ok if I could put taller bigger tires i.e. 5x5 jeep wheels with 255/70 R 18 tires.. will that work on a 2001 AWD . Mostly Traveler/ AWD used to get to fishing locations, no rock climbing, we have no rocks in Louisiana just oyster shells..

Re: Tire questions
You should probably read the sticky posts at the top of the offroad and tire sub-forums.
255/70-18 is a 32" tire. So, no, that's not going to fit on a 2001 AWD without a BIG lift and LOTS of trimming of bodywork.

Again, see the stickies. Big lift, some cutting would be needed.

Re: Tire questions
You can use the 16's, just use a 215 or 225/70R16 tire with no lift. If you wanted, you could go to a 235/70R16 with a little torsion bar lifting up front and possibly a little light trimming if they hit. The 235's are a 29" tall tire...the max to fit with no lift and minimal trimming.
