non Astro/Safari seats to bolt it

Post by jakepatch »

I don't honestly remember where I got this info from, but here's a few options on seats other than Astro/Safari seats that I have heard will bolt in.
86-89 Lincoln LSC
86-89 Thunderbird
80's Mustang's
I also know of a couple people using Honda Prelude seats, and PT Cruiser seats that seemed to fit well.
If anyone happens to have any of these, or know of any others, please feel free to add them here.
Hope to be vannin' again someday........

Cool. I wonder if I can find the ones that have the speakers in the headrest :)

Universals?

Post by PharmAstrocist »

How about those universal racing or bucket seats by APC and such? Do they require some sort of modification? I'm on to that phase soon and that was pretty much my plan unless I fell into something by accident...

Not sure about the aftermarket seats, though I'm sure there is some sort of fab. work to do. This thread was started to document factory seats from other vehicles that fit/will work.

AstroSafari, I was also told about Cavalier seats. The person that told me said the newer ones will fit easily, he wasn't sure about the older ones. The bolts never changed that I know of.
No sig yet, working on new one

The s10 guys use the Cavi seats alot. They are supposed to be bolt in for pretty much any Chevy/GM.

I've used Windstar seats that fit and are kind of easy to install. As I recall all you need to do is drill new holes.
