Wow these 4.3's can vibrate ! And I thought my KLR was bad, ha ha. Use lottsa locktite!

Went to grab second gear tonight, and something failed !! Managed to limp into a wal-mart parkin lot.
Found that 3 of 4 bolts holding the shifter to the T5 trans were just gone !
Shifter was flopping around on 1 loose bolt and I couldnt shift.
Also Sounds like a huge hole is opening up in my rh exhaust manifold area.
Either the bolts are coming loose there too, or, The pinhole in the manifold must be burning thru finally ! lol.
One it gets daylight/no rain, I will crawl under to see WTH is going on there.

Proved to myself that having a fully removable bed platform is still a good idea. Yanked everything out on Saturday so I could fetch a massive fireproof chemical storage cabinet from a local surplus place. That was a LOT of steel, I could feel the weight back there, even on the lift springs.

Ordered this for the van yesterday. I put in a used trans. a couple of months ago and I'm hoping this modded valve body will let me get serious miles out of this used unit.

Remanufactured (M30/M32) 4L60E / 4L65E Valve Body Assembly Complete READY TO BOLT ON OUT OF THE BOX! This valve body has the updated SONNAX TCC Regulator Valve INSTALLED (#77754-04K) that requires a special reaming tool to install and use (done by us), corrects common irreversible issues with valve body wear. This problem is the NUMBER ONE most overlooked issue by other re-builders. One indicator of this issue is the P1870 Code. If this valve is not installed, even after a rebuild transmission can become overheated and as a result can burn up quickly do to torque converter slippage, caused by the badly worn valve body casting in the converter clutch regulator valve bore. The OEM TCC valve on 4L60-E units wears the bore, creating pressure leaks that affect performance. The Sonnax TCC regulator valve kits allow you to restore hydraulic integrity without replacing the bore. Common issues with this are Overheated converters, Harsh 1-2 shifts, Burned 3-4 clutches, and failed lock up converter clutch. This Valve runs upwards of $50 alone! This Valve body is completely Remanufactured by a PROFESSIONAL SHOP, which specializes in 4L60E and GM transmissions. This is the same valve bodies we use in our rebuilds transmissions that we sell. Includes everything needed to install the valve body including a NEW TRANSGO Separator plate, Gaskets, filters and much more.

BONUS: We are NOW including the accumulator pistons that wear out on the pin, now is the time to change them since the will be accessible when installing the valve body.

This Will work for all 4L60E/4L65E applications 1998 to 2002
WILL NOT WORK FOR 1998-UP F-BODY CAMARO/FIREBIRD (SHALLOW FILTER NEEDED) SEE ITEM # 251342221879

The red van looks great in the white snow scenery.

Today i added support bracket to brush guard above the bumper. Also, unstalled old Hella rectangular driving lights. Still waiting for arrival of the Trail Master LED light bars T reasonable price at 4 Wheel Parts store.

Dropped the first serious $$ and money into the van in my almost 10 years of ownership. New brakes all way round 1st week of December when I put the new to me winter wheels on. Ended up with a seized slider on the rear caliper so it was easy peasey. Its in the shop now trying to locate a misfire at idle only when hot.

Curious about the mis-fire; did that show up as a code or something you just felt. I recently burned up my Cat and want to know why. Read a mis-fire can do it, but no codes thrown. Thanks

I have "felt" the misfire for a couple years now. Really random though. Only happens on occasion, only happens when running hot ( like when you pull right off the highway while pulling the trailer uphill hot ). You can smell the unburnt fuel and feel the shake. I changed out the plugs, wires, cap & rotor 2 weeks ago for all new delco stuffs. 3 plugs were tan, 3 on the PS were darker but otherwise looked good. When it happens I get misfire, low o2 voltage, and lean condition codes. Changed the 02 sensors, checked for vacuum leaks and still have the occasional condition. Beyond my skillset now so I have handed it off to the shop for them to smoke test it for a vacuum leak somewhere.

My thought is that either its getting too much air via vacuum leak or via a dying o2 sensor and the 'puter is bumping up the fuel trim to compensate giving me to stink of unburnt fuel. Why its shaking and misfiring I cannot comprehend.

OK, thanks. When I had the cat replaced the tech thought he could feel a mis at idle, I'm not sure. No codes so don't really know where to go. Good luck with yours
