4x4 swap ballpark costs

Post by chrisgerman1983 »

I have tried searching but am having trouble finding answers. Does anyone have an idea of how many hours it would take a shop to put a solid axle on the front and convert a 2wd to a 4x4? For a SAS is there any reason to start with an awd?

Starting with a AWD would give you a transmission that a two speed transfer case could be bolted to.

How many hours? A lot, and hard to estimate, probably looking at a starting price of $5g and up quickly from there. Finding the shop to do it would probably be the hardest part.
