Hi,

I have swapped several bucket seats for front. And also bench seats for rear.

For front buckets it is a good idea to start with passenger side. Then you can still drive the vehicle.
Remove the original Astro seat. You need to remove rear bolts first by sliding bucket seat all the way forward. Then slide bucket seat all the way to ear to get access to front bolts.

Use a tape measure and you will see that the seat rails.

About 13". Center center on front to rear bolts and 17" left to right. As I recall. Now you can measure Express seat bolt pattern. Also, measure total width of seat cushion on Astro seat.

You can build adapter plates from 1/8" steel or 1/4" aluminum flat stock. Or if the hole pattern is close, you can often get 2 of the bolts to match. Then use adapter plate to secure other bolts.''use
Good quality hardened bolts metric 10.9 rated or grade 8 SAE bolts.

Good luck.

As I recall the seats from my '87 Chevy Beauville, a G10 model I think, bolted right onto the seat tracks of my '97 Safari.
'93 Safari shorty, 350 swap
'05 Astro AWD, lifted, 6 liter, cammed, ported and programmed for fast.
'69 G10, straight 6, 3 onatree, jumped at me when I had a pocketful of cash looking for a spare astro. :)

Yes, many of the GM seats had the same bolt patter.
Pontiact Gran Am Buckeyes are worth looking for.'
Also, my current leather bucket seats in my 2003 Astro are the the second row buckets from a high end Oldsmobile Silloute FWD mini van, which is same as SAturn mini van or Pontiac or Chevy front wheel drive mini van.. Note: not the front mini van buckets which have too much crap and electric motors, but the mini captains bucket seats from the second row which have manual recline and fold to flat.
Also, check 2007, 2008 Pontiac Gran Prix front buckets
