Nah, here's a more fundamental problem. Every summer in Houston the Ozone level rockets. It's not the petrochemical plants in Pasadena, the Pine trees produce ozone. I still maintain that congress should legislate away volcanic eruptions..problem solved. The people that perpetuate this BS need to get into counseling to get over their self loathing for being alive. nuff said.

I vote for drilling in Alaska to increase (relative) immediate supplies and to get us off middle east oil dependence; and then also continue to develop alternative energies. With the emerging huge middle classes of India and China, cars are being bought at never seen before rates, so demand for oil is increasing faster than ever before and that is a major part of the price increase. Its all abot supply and demand ( and of course, regulation restricts supply)

On a related note, Rebel, you know its getting bad when my friend (an Asian immigrant who started his own manufacturing plant in Bellingham) complains about busting his ass to come to North America only to find out he can't compete with over seas outsourcing of manufactuing! They've out sourced all the manufacturing back to where he came from at dirt cheap prices!

Just something to add.... one thing that had me got me ticked the other day at the national news is their statement (roughly quoted) ...CO2 is a pollutant... Can't remember how it was said but CO2 can't be a pollutant, it's a naturally occuring gas that plants need to grow. More CO2, greener plants, more 02?! I'd be more "worried" about the little amount of NOx gasses instead.

Also, from watching a Discovery channel Earth special, they said there was a time when there was high level of CO2 and the Earth was covered in jungles and fresh green plants, not a firery deathly heat. Scam scam scam...and these scientists are making some good money on it.

....BUT, if the world is going to end/change on the winter solstice, dec. 21, 2012...no worries...haha
