What I would do is just cut the top half off the 2 inches you need, then weld on tab to get the bolt through that away in will be hidden,
got too busy to mess with it last weekend. I found a donor set, at the local boneyard, but haven't made it over there to pick them up yet.
I want to yank the driver's seat out, and set it on blocks to decide the right height. From that point, I will have a better direction on the slice and dice.
