Picked up a new rig last night, 88' K2500 diesel w/5" superlift, and almost new 35"At,s to pull my trailer around... doesnt crank as of yet but the power wire going to the starter looks to be in pretty rough shape... hopefully she will be running tonight!

Cleaned up the starter and all of the connections last night, threw in a pair of new batteries and she fired right up! had a couple of holes in the exhaust manifolds that I managed to weld up, fixed a brake line and now she is running and driving. Has a small power steering leak but it looks like a line so it should be easy enough. This truck was a steal, It has one rust spot at the bottom of the drivers door and that is pretty much it, wich is amazing for an Ontario vehicle from 1988, It is also a one owner vehicle that the owner obviously loved... which is a damn good thing... my van is 11 years newer and has twice as much rust and more KM's on it.... the truck just broke 200,000km (125,000 Miles)... so far including towing it home I have only spent $1700 bucks.... and I made $2500 profit off of that salter truck I sold last week... things are looking up for this guy

I still have the trailer and this thing should pull it no problem... the 6.2 isnt fast but it will pull anything I need to, I am planning to start brining theft recoverys and light wrecks up from the US to build up a little capital towards opening a shop.

Someone I hate you dude. I searched high and low for a truck with a 6.2 in that price range a while back. No matter how hard I looked I couldn't find one that still had most of the body in tact with out massive holes. Which is why when my buddy goes back out to BC next month he is going to try and score me a cheap salt free burb with a 6.2 that he will drive back for me.

That is a sweet deal on the truck Someone, that's a killer deal down here in the states. I wouldn't mind having an older diesel.
Zach, there is no way you got a 350 stuffed inthat little car, just don't belive it. Well, yeah I do, they drop them in fieor's all the time.
