all fixed and running again.
a customer that comes in the store has a hoist in his garage and a tranny jack. he offered his hoist and did most of the work while i 'assisted'. wouldn't even take any cash when we were done. he needed a serp belt for a truck he was working on .. i went into work and grabbed it for him (we're closed sundays). said if i pay for that for him on monday "we're all good" = around $25 and a couple of large coffees this morning.
started around 10am and done by 1pm. the longest part of the job was trying to get the gas to siphon. the tank was so full we couldn't even undo the filler neck at the tank. got the lines off at the tank and finally got one of them to drain sloooowwlllyyy into two large gas cans. brought the level down to just over half. enough for the two of us to lower it down with the tranny jack and lift it off the jack to the ground.
some things do end well. pump under warranty, labor $28, $40 tow .. could have been much worse
