Blower motor
Don't you hate it when your blower doesn't blow?
It suddenly quit the other day. It doesn't work on any setting. Motor is a couple years old. Fuses look OK. Hopefully I get a chance to dive into the wiring today. Wish me luck.

Motor is cheap and easy to replace.

Re: Blower motor
The least expensive one I was able to find was $50. Not that cheap.
Anyway, I tried unplugging the connector and re-plugged it in.... nothing. I removed the motor and put it back in again ... and it worked. Easiest fix ever.

Re: Blower motor
Thank God! I was worried. Something small like a blown transmission, no big deal. A blower motor? No sense making the payments at that point! Glad it worked out easily for you and thanks for allowing my inner a#@hole a second to come out and play! Kelly

Re: Blower motor
Well it worked for about a day. Then it started working only on high speed. :( Guess I better check those resistors and connections. Bizarre. :-k

Re: Blower motor
The blower motor is on the fritz again. If I put it on high speed and smack it with a hammer, it comes back to life for a while. So this piece of junk lasted about ... 2.5 yrs. And, once again, it decides to crap out in the winter when I need heat and defog the most.
Speeds 1-3 still don't work so I need to get in there and take a look at that resistor pack. I wonder if the sh***y motor fried my resistors.

Re: Blower motor
Yes. Failing motors can draw too much current, which can lead to failure of other components. Check out this video ...
