WOW =D> Why so much flack, what works for you, work for you! how you spend your money, is how you spend your money.
Two parts:
Messin with ya.
Trying to save you money, based on past observation of these vans with big rims and bad roads.
In the end, it is your money. Please tell us that you have a significant brake upgrade planned to go with the rims.
Thank you, for this!
yes, I do have more mods in the mix, I'm still researching what will work for me..
Much respect to this site and all it's members, and I also agree with you "Jim", I also drive and love my van!

I Like IROC`s because they are a Chevy Icon, they scream Chevrolet, and look cool fitted onto any Chevy vehicle. I run 18`s with 245/45/18 tires and the ride quality is great on crappy LA streets with a lowered van that is a daily driver, I wouldn`t recommend going any larger wheel or lower profile for a DD.
Those stripped down Dodge vans were certainly different, a little large though but I think that concept would work well on a StroFari, as well as the "IROC concept" (Someone posted a black Iroc photoshop van years back ? anyone save the pictures ?)
My 18`s with 245/45/18 tires.

Since these pictures were taken a year ago, her lower body-line and the lower rear dutch doors and hinges have been shaved and welded .... She looks even Slutt-ier, In her "White primer short, short slutty dress right now...."

hint hint..lets not be kids about this matter, because in the end we are all vanners and that's what counts.[/quote]
If you paint it white pearl, I hold my breath until I turn blue
Kidding
Fortunately, we have different tastes, otherwise we all would drive around in silver VOLVO V70. And I do not think there are enough brunettes so everyone can have one.
Go for it, Astrodamus =D>

I, as most everyone on this forum, will encourage you to go for what you want and do it. Without compromise.
The process of posting your ideas before you spend the $ is for feedback based on experience and opinions. Hopefully, to make your build process as efficient as can be. And opinions are like armpits: everyone's got a couple and they usually stink.
As far as the wheel size, IMStinkyO, I have two sets of wheels for my F-150: 18's for winter, 20's for summer. Everytime I changed them I was suprised by how much rougher the 20's rode than the 18's.
As far as looks, my opinion is that there is an optimal size depending on factors such as vehicle, vehicle mod style, and more. Like modern sizes on classic muscle cars, I like 17" on most, sometimes the 17" on front with 18" in rear. But when they get too big they look frikin redonkulous.
Thats my opinion, but its not my van and I'm not paying the bills. Build away

Yah, just look at his Astro
I concur, do what you want but take it to heart for what has been said. The last you want to do is spend $$$ to only find out you dont like / not practical and sell off for much less $.
I personally like the iroc wheels more. More aggressive with true styling. Other then that ... I was glaring at the bench in the front seat and thought to myself why I never tried that!? 8 seater to 9 seater! woooot!

Hahah ... last time I caught you all eyeing my bench seats, so why the change of heart now?
I have been visiting the local scrap yard for bucket seats for the times I want to do 4 people + loads of cargo. You dont live far from me and I have your number. Tell me what you are looking for as well
I like the setup you have to storage things and sleep on top. I am really thinking about doing something like that as well.

Thanks for the offer Phrisk, but until they start building houses again, I'm on Financial Lockdown. Well, ok, except for the new rear tire for my GasGas and a new bike tray to haul it on the back of the AstroLander, no goodies for me.
Hijack over.
