Bottle jacks seem to work with a few pieces of wood. I usually carry a 12 ton.

I like the Lift Mate, as it'll raise the wheel if I need to, or to place a jack stand to remove the wheel. Thanks unrreal.

A 12 ton? That seems huge. Is there a reason, related to your van, that you carry a 12 ton? Thanks.

The only issue is protecting your body.... err... van's body... well, and your body!

The top of the jack is going to always want to lean in towards what you are jacking.

It seems some wheel chocks might be prudent to have in one's roadside kit.
