Burnaby is no better. I'm talking about the whole lower mainland! If you have enough money and the right contacts, you can get off the plane and right into your Lexus and start swerving down the highway. Image

Been watching the low-roof NV for a little while, but 12 MPG and the much larger footprint are making me think twice. A quick thought of how much an AWD will be when they arrive gives me the shivers. Adding some customization to suit my needs unfortunately puts it way over the top.

Holding on to the 2000 Astro and maybe in 2019, an AWD Ford Transit Van.

Hey Derek,

Could you tell me where you found the MPG figures at?

I haven't been able to find them.

Thanks, Jim

With the Ford E models on their way out, Nissan has contacted Sportsmobile to fill the void. We'll see.

Too much nose to be a Van. More like a bigger, boxxier SUV/Wagon.

What's the deal with the E-Series Tee ??? They gettin' shut down? Replaced with what?!?!

The European full size Transit vans are coming to the US.

These are direct competitors to the Sprinter vans.

You Know...

I find it funny that, The Fords are made Overseas and the Nissan is made Stateside.

We shall see who will Win the Hearts of the AstroSafari Gang.

Since I refuse to buy Asian made cars, and I hate Fords (except 60's Mustangs & 71-74 Capri's),
I will just keep repairing my old Astro's.
Besides , Astro's last forever, right?

From an about.com test drive (page 3):

"My afternoon of mixed freeway and city driving in a V8-powered high-roof NV2500 yielded a mere 12.6 MPG, and that was with the cargo bay empty."

I'm hearing that Ford will be building the next-gen Transit Van at their Avon Lake plant in Ohio which had been producing the Econoline.
