This is a neat swap.........but Dude...........the graffiti on the Chevy bowtie just ain't right.

1986 Ford Econoline rearend. Comes with 31 spline axles. Redrill axles for 5x5 pattern. Redrill brake drums. Move shock mounts to chevy position. Offset drill housing spring pad 1/4" on each side. Use van's e-brake cables unmodifed. Do not change spring pad angle. it is perfect. Now you all know how to put a Ford 9" rearend in your van to replace that weak diff. I do! The one that hurts me the most is all the old F-100s running around with small block Chevys. I mean come on, use a Ford 302 or 351! Ya...good info on the rearend swap. Thanks. I built a custom 12 bolt for my Safari. Huge $$$$$$$$$$$$. Upside...it works and it will hold up under the 305.
