well, that was all for nothing. if we got another 3cm - 4cm (1.5") .. that was it at most. we just were touched by the edge of it, it headed east before it really got to us (as seen above)

We should have gotten slammed but it was odd that we didn't actually. I was watching the system on environment canada's radar all day and just before woodstock it would split go around woodstock, KW and guelph and then reconverge just after guelph and start dumping just north of guelph.

made me a happy man. Turned a full blown push into a few salt trucks running around aswell as a few sidewalk crews running around. Means we get done faster and I go home sooner because I can still do things other than dispatch while I'm dispatching. During a full push it's so busy I can hardly catch a minute to take a leak let alone repair equipment or do paperwork.

Well,,we had an event down at the 96. I know,,nothing like you guys up north but it did happen. 4 or 5 in. of the white stuff and it ain't sand at the beach. Here's a few pics and a video of local radio in the background. Yep, schools closed, in fact everything closed.

I don't think we have gotten that much at once at all this year. our total accumulation for the month is less than that aswell.

Hey Larry, kinda looks like Saskatchewan down there in ol' Alabamy.
Still hovering around 60F here on the Island. I've been out doing some gardening the last few days, raking leaves, planting some flowers, finally got some paint on the garage so it looks like the rest of the house now. I'm going to have to cut the grass this weekend, it's getting a bit long.
