Thats a good shot of the cat 3" pipe.
It looks very similar to the cat & 3" pipe that was on my 95 VIN W CPI, except mine was slightly different bends for AWD.
I can say that it is a LOT bigger than the same parts from my 87 TBI VIN Z vans.

Thanks for the photos and videos. I'm going to crawl under mine and have another look-see.

Welcome maestro. Just showing what yours would sound like in various stages of build.
Doyoulikeitthere. See My van just a oddball. It is huge exhaust compared to the 90 van which was parts correct engine and exhaust. Otherwise it was a identical color and interior van. I used it to fix my last total. The one before this one I fixing now. I was new to vans way back and really confused why mine had all this stuff it shouldn't. But it does and I am very grateful somebody on the line did it.

This is neither here nor there.
That exhaust is correct for your year 1994.
Nothing odd at all.

I just have to. Sorry but your 94 does not have a 97 subframe unless it was swapped out. If your mom bought it new in 94 how did it get a 97 frame? There are differences as well such as you have a linkage from the shifter coming through the firewall to the tranny and your ABS module is mounted near the battery. On a 97 neither of these is true.
As for why the HP numbers dropped off while using the same basic parts, I can only notice that it pretty much came around with OBDII Managment.
Wow Dean, That ChevyMaher never ceases to amaze me with his (lol) well educated input, based on facts and proof..
Bye the way people, don't try to prove him wrong , over on "that other site" or he will cry like a baby, delete your proof from the board, and boot you off the site.
I just found out first hand. =D>
