Wiley, great photo's and looks like a spectacular trip.. thanks for sharing.
I'v been a Jeeper the last few decades, but I'm having a hard time justifying keeping it. Threads such as this confirm my desire for an Astro. Back to lurkin'..

Only picture with the van in it is the one while driving..... that's the Astro dash. Went to Pulaski, NY to buy the rod and reel in the pic. Used it and got that nice brown trout. Was my first winter steelhead fishing trip. I was dressed for it and it was ok but the second night my heater blower quit. I was stealth camping in it. Then my driver side window quit working while open 2 inches.....

Incredible photos and locations! It reminds me why I got an Astro van in the first place.

It's difficult to tell what's going on here. Are you crawling and the holes are just that deep ? (Wow)
Or are you carrying that much speed that you're bottoming out?

It's from speed. A bit of a long story, but we have time right? I'm a crawler; I drive slow, I like to save my van, it's important to me. In this case, this was a recently washed out gully across the road, probably only 20' lip to lip. It had been crossed a couple of times by some very short wheel based Jeeps. On the way out I got hung up pretty good with the departure angle and almost got stuck (or at least almost had to pull out the HiLift!)
This was on the way back, I carried a little speed (a very little) so I wouldn't get hung up again. After seeing the photos, I realized how little it takes to compress the suspension in these vans and lucky I didn't loose the oil pan that time!!!
Nice No Cascades photos!
