Yeah thats how I work, just a thin skim of bondo to get the surface perfect. I spend alot of hours on the metal prep....
I can build and port & polish V8`s also, but not with my eyes closed though....

Well I'll admit I gotta take a peek every once in a while, but you know what I mean. It takes a awful lot of patience to do what your doing. My hats off to you.

Darren, any updates on this smooth rear end? Nothing in some time now and you were going to update the pictures of it when in that white primer we all love. Enquiring minds want to know.

personally i like our lower body line, but for those of you who have shaved it off using filler metal like so-cali here, have you had any problems with trapping moisture inside? seems to me something could get trapped in there and eat away at it from the inside, or even just trapped air behind the dura-glass seems scarry to me.

Fortunately for Darren he lives in southern California. The SOB can drive around with his van in bare metal if he wants. Whereas living in the Northeast I can't even let a panel go over night under a carport without having surface rust the next morning.

Hey Darren, whats it look like now? I keep checking in to see the progress. I realize its summer time and updating the threads aren't the big priorites they are in winter, but I'm needing to know what it looks like!
Oh, and your next Geiko commercial; ad-lib a little about the $ you save insuring your custom V8 Shaved Astro.
and give a wink to us out here in ASVland.
