My 2003 AM-FM CD player has AUX on the face, WHERE ?

Hi

I have a 2003 with factory AM-FM CD player ,

on the front it says AUX , hopefully that means there is somewhere to plug my MP3 player into it

So what does the AUX mean and if there is a plug-in where is it ?

and if not what was the last year of factory AM-FM cassette as i can get one of those cassette adapters and plug the MP3 player into that

They used the same faceplates for different models. You can add an aux input for about $3 if you aren't afraid of taking your radio apart and soldering in a jack.

is there any website that tells me how to put the plug in ?

and how hard is it to take the radio out ? Is the radio the same as other Chevys of that year?

I posted a howto, cost $3, but lots of radio shacks are going out of business so you can get the jack for half price. I also started to add bluetooth to it as well, just haven't taken it back apart yet to finalize it.

Another question

i see it has "theftlock" on the front

if I buy a used radio at the car swap meet this weekend do I need to worry about this Theftlock ?

or is there a simple hack ?

There is a simple fix, call an automated 800 number, give them the lock code, it replies with the unlock code.
