Early January 2022, the blower speed selector on my 1997 M11006 broke, leaving me the two slowest out of four speeds. How common is shaft breakage for 1996-2005? Short of replacement of the whole A/C control unit (which has a thermostatic switch and vacuum valves in addition to the switch described), how can I stabilize the speed selector?A/C Blower Switch issues 1996 - end of production
