Help with figuring out part.

Hello. I took apart the transmission on my Astro van and I cant figure out where the two parts came from. Please help. Please see photo. Thank you.

What is the approximate diameter and width of the pieces?

The diameter is 3" and the thickness of the pieces is about .018" Thank you for your help.

I showed it to someone who has taken apart many of these transmissions ... didn't recognize it.

They bear a striking resemblance to crankshaft bearing shims
