1985 G30 ALCL/ALDL Location

Post by hewilson2 »

According to my Haynes Manual and also the Chevy Shop Manual, the ALCL/ALDL OBD1 port should be under the dash beneath the instrument cluster. But I do not see it there. !983 models had it on the left kick panel but I also do not see it there. Are there any other possible locations? Is it possible that not every vehicle has it? Thanks.

It has to be down there somewhere. Did you find the fuse block? Sometimes they used to put a cover panel over it. Or a previous owner tucked it away somewhere. You could check the glove box too.
