well seems i've gone and done it..

finalizing the deal today on another astro...

hence my posts about the AC and ABS light. believe me there will be lots of questions i ask.

y'all know my current astro is a 1 previous owner - 94 (W) EXT LT w/ 105,000 miles on it.. in really good condition. it looks brownish or beig-ish in the pics.. but it's actually the same darker grey color that the lower half of my 94 is.

the 'new' one is the 93 i went and looked at a week ago. it's not as clean body wise as my 94, still it's in pretty darn good shape! ... has the same interior, the AC works! .. newer tires, idlers, balljoints.. etc.. there is a bit of a clunk when you shift into drive or reverse.. i'm hoping that's the just u-jionts with some play in them. new bfg radial ta's, battery, starter, alternator & brakes all within the last year and a half. new fuel pump 2yrs ago. doesn't leak any fluids and doesn't smoke!

it's a 2 owner - 1993 (w) EXT LT w/ 119,000 miles on it. second row buckets, and analog gauges are the only real differences. I'm still really unsure what i'm going to do with it exactly.. but.. it's mine now.. these damn vans are contageous!!! #-o

pics of the 'new' van can be seen here ..

so... what do ya think? .. am i mental? ](*,)

me too jake... that was one reason that i liked the 93/94 LT vans.. even the 95 LT had the same fabric/patterns used but they didn't have the flip down arm rests. never thought i'd find another one in decent condition with low miles .. the carpet could use a steam cleaning.. but they seats are very clean with only one small wear spot about the size of a quarter on the drivers seat.

nothing yet. looks like the rear main seal is gone.. other than that the tranny needs a flush and fill badly .. i've posted on that in the trans section.
