Last summer I started building my van, I did the body work paint job and then the engine and trans. I got an 86 Iroc 305 free and stripped it down to rebuild it. had the block tanked and bored .30 over put it all back together using all new parts except the rods (I had them rebuilt)
Then I bought a set of 305 vortech heads which can stock with 194 intake valves. Topped it off with a high rise dual plane intake then an adapter
for the TBI of which I totaly rebuilt for performance. The trans was rebuilt with corvette servo and shift kit. I got it out of storage today and set the timing. Alls thats left is to finish welding the exhaust, fix a bad ground wire on the headlights and replace the broken front sway bar, and I'll be crusin. =D> =D> =D>

I remember this van. Gotta love those ZX hood vents, and the Keystone Classics. I had a set of the Keystones back in the 70's. Nice job DJ. Where in Maine? Cherie and I are going to be in Maine sometime in May. Maybe we could shake hands. \:D/

Wow! Sanford Maine, Talk about bringing back the old times, I was stationed at Pease AFB, at Portsmouth, NH in the early 60's 1961 to 1963. I first cut my teeth on drag racing back at the Sanford Drag Strip. Flag man and all. What a great time. I know the Air Base isn't there anymore, is the drag strip still there?

No the closest drag strip now is about an hour into New Hamshire.
The air base was converted to a small airport in which President Bush JR & SR have landed at to go to the Kennebunkport home. They have had that house in the family for like 6 generations or more. WOO! (laughing)
Not a fan of either of them.

The truck rallys will still be used in the winter months- with snow tires and such, but the keys stones are my summer set with 255/60R15 on the rear and 215/toR15s on the front. they are matched in hight due to the antilock brakes but the rears are over an inch wider then the fronts. I will send more pics to the photobucket site after the chrome trim is on the wheel wells and the keystones are on.
