Wizard of Oz
My oh my how time flies.
May 15 is the birthday of famed author L. Frank Baum (1856-1919). He wrote one of the most loved children’s books–The Wizard of Oz. Even in his time, it was a massive success. In fact, he wrote 13 sequels set in the Oz universe.
The movie was made in 1939.
This is a re-release of the movie trailer.

If you are not young, then you will likely remember sitting down and watching the movie, in black and white (on the only TV in the house) as it was shown once a year.
What a thrill it was to see it the first time in COLOR. WOW.
And don't forget The Wizard of Oz website.

And The International Wizard of Oz Club.
They will have 3 conventions this year. Yippee !

Re: Wizard of Oz
Guess it really depends on who you are.
I'm a married straight guy, that's a member of a Rocky Horror performing cast (lots of alternative lifestyle folks here), and once a year attends Big Gay Brian's Big ASS* Party. So, not a very bold question coming from me.
*Anti-Superbowl Sunday
Just for the record, I'm not really into the MGM Wizard of Oz, but I'll sit and watch Micheal Jackson and Diana Ross in The Wiz.
Ease on down, ease on down, down the road
Don't you carry nothing that might be a load

If we use the definition as referred to on the Wiki site, the answer is no.

Gwendolyn, I wouldn't have believe how well the music matches the film's action if I hadn't seen for myself. It's uncanny.d3athm3talh3ad wrote:one of these days, i'll pickup a copy of it and start up pink floyd's the wall and watch it the way it's meant to be seen

I have done it as well. (A friend sent me a YouTube on MySpace) I was stone sober while watching it too. It matches perfectly in many places, but I still wonder if it's all just an over rated co-winky-dink. Love that movie & Pink Floyd is one of my all-time favorite bands so it was fun!d3athm3talh3ad wrote:one of these days, i'll pickup a copy of it and start up pink floyd's the wall and watch it the way it's meant to be seen
