Disassemble!

Well Sanja and I took full advantage of the hot long weekend and started disassembling the RS that we scored on. We are going to take our time at it. We've decided that if the stock engine is just in need of a rebuild then we will just keep it stock. This way we will save money... you know Gas prices )>) . But if the engine is not savable then we will just go ahead and stuff it with something big and just have fun with it. I forgot my camera but next weekend I will take a picture of the vans progress that we had done, and keep a journal of it. We would have had the engine out within that day but we spent most of our morning in Princes Auto... We scored big on a low profile engine hoist and stand.

Hey Steph.
Glad to hear you are getting started on the van. If you need a hand pulling the engine and trans let me know and I will try and come by.

Hey Kevin! Thanks, that would be nice, we'll most likely be working on it this coming Saturday.

That sounds kinda kinky......Doesn't it??
:heart:
Yeah were sorta dwindling a bit as to what to do with the 6 that's being pulled.
Im sorta thinking Electric,just for the hell of it,but I'd rather see a 6 or an 8 polluting
the environment. :peep:

2.8L I4 diesel out of a totaled Jeep Liberty CRD? You'll lose some HP, but gain torque, definitely gain MPG. That short body RS weighs about 100 lbs less than a Liberty.

HP:
4.3 = 190 @ 4400
2.8 = 160 @ 3800

Torque:
4.3 = 250 @ 2800
2.8 = 295 @ 1800
