Ever see a good deal that you can't pass up?? I bought it from an elderly couple who were going to junk it if it didn't sell, and that's what the yard offered, $250 a ton.

I was hoping for 3.73s and a G80, but no luck. It runs and drives great, although I think it needs a new spider, which I happen to have.

The only thing weird is that it has an oily substance in the coolant. The oil and trans fluid are good, no coolant, and the levels don't seem to drop. It doesn't get hot. I'm suspect of the oil/trans coolers, so I'm going to swap out the radiator for a good one from my LT parts van.

Other than being dirty as heck, it's pretty sweet. Now what to do with it......

See that's just it...you put a real rear axle in there, like a Dana 60, and you could even go with a big block 572. :muhaha:

BTW..sweet beater van! :supz:

Thanks guys...I'm hoping to fool with it this weekend. I love the idea of the SAS and 11" lift, D60, 572, rims, etc; but I plan to keep it stock and just drive it for now so I can work on my frankenstein project.

ps...I love the color :smurf:

Of course you do, silly. It's the colour of great men and great minds. None of that pukey green that Dean's eysore sports, or the gawdawful neon green that Darren "one day" intends to paint his rolling billboard for primer with.
