The trailers

Post by GEJ »

I have been talking about the fleamarket trailers for two yrs. This presents what I have been saying.

The small vendor trailer:

Image

Image

The sides open up on each side for selling space. It is walled off end to end for "J-hooks" to hang packaged snack foods.

Image

Image

There is storeage space down the center for stackable containers with doors on each end with "E-track" that holds the load in one place.I will be adding electric brakes to it.

Image

I fought hard with NYS for the title on this trailer because I bought it without a title from PA seller.I ended up getting a custom title for it and it is title as a new 2006 trailer because of it.That took almost a yr to get done.It has crankable stands on all four sides to make it stable.I have only seen one other like it.It's loaded wt will be 2500lbs.It is the trailer that is slated to be towed by Ole Yellar.

BWT:Going to repaint it of course Yellar.

The 12' dual axle fleamarket trailer

Post by GEJ »

Here is the 12' trailer slated to be towed by the RV and parked at one central multi date/wk market along with the RV.The other dates of single markets will be handled by Ole Yellar and the small vendor trailer.

Yeah she need alittle T.L.C,but it is one of those"don't build them like that anymore".Will handle a 7,000lbs load.WOW!!! :yikes:

Image

In time we want to add a V nose with storeage and doors on each side of the nose. Also storeage boxes running the full lenght of the trailer above the fenders for the 10x20 vendor tent and the sales display fixtures we have.We own every kind of display you could possible think of.(4 step.slant racks, tables, and sheilfing. All quick set-up and teardown)I want to limit the trailer for my toolbox and stackage product cases only.

Well things here In Roch,NY isn't at a total stand still.I have contracted a fab/welding shop to referb(sp) the vendor trailer.I will post pics in the next couple of days.He is doing the work because of me not(still) finding a shop to rent. It's my designs and he is following that direction. We have shelled out to total inside and are in the process of replacing rusted out door componets.

The vendor trailer was starting to show it's age.The bottom tube that makes up the vendor doors where starting to rust and needed replacement.Because of that we stripped the door skin off.

Image

Image

This pic is one of the new bottom tube we welded in place.

Image

It is still a open question if I am going to re-skin these doors while I have them apart.

I have designed aluminum tubes to be attached to the side of the doors along one side and the full lenght offset from the door to be able to ball bungee side tarp walls to enclose two sided and have one side open for people to walk into it to shop.More on this after more of the work is done.

I wasn't happy with the interior of the trailer and wanted to remodel it.So it got stripped too.

Image

A wall of diamond plate is being built and on the ends.It will be able to have spring strip clips(to hold pre-packaged snack foods) or shelving depending on what is being sold.Where you see openings in the counter space, there are going to bins built to hold bulk snack foods. They will have hinged lexion covers.Yeah-you will be able to mix up your own trail mix from that.Yumm.

Image

Image

The center of the trailer I installed E-track to hold stackable storeage cases for back-up stock.I welded the reinforcing tubes to mount the E-track to and to stiffen up the trailer. The back of the diamond plate walls will get blueboard insulation glued to it and aluminum walls put up to the center storeage area.A new floor is also going to built for the center storeage area as well hinged to allow me to be able to get to the bottom of the trailer for the storeage of a spair tire, batterys for the brake away brake system, etc.

Image

The 4 stabilizing jacks are going to get new feet.It allows the trailer to be lifted right off the wheels.

I know-I know, this isn't a Astro. It does however take a major role in why Ole Yellar is being built to tow this trailer. It is also a major part of who I am being a professional fleamarket vendor.I'll post more once more progress is make on this project.
