Engine cuts out when up to temp.

Looking for some help on my 96, my motor just dies when it gets up to temp. Its just like turning off the car, there is no sputter or backfire, nothing. No codes come up on the OBD. And the van wont start again until it cools off (cranks and fuel is sent through, but wont start). The fuel filter is free and clear. The pump has good pressure. All my plugs and wires are good. The O2 sensors are all within range. Runs perfect until it gets hot. Does anyone have any ideas? Im feeling stuck. Thanks.

Sounds like when the ECM went bad on my '94.

Ignition module would be my first guess. When this happens, check for spark. You'll need the doghouse off first though

I've had the same symptoms a couple times. Turned out to be the temp sensor for the ECM. Not the one for the gauge. Once the engine warmed up it went out of open loop (non sensored ECM control) to closed loop (sensor controlled). The Temp sensor gave a false reading and instantly flooded the engine out or starved it depending on how the sensor died.

Where is the temp sensor? I want to have a look at that too but I cant seem to find it, and the service books are useless.

The temp sensor hes talking about is on the intake manifold up front next to the thermostst neck .

Well Ive unplugged the temp sensor for now and carry my meter with me so I can test things the next time it dies, but nothing so far. Looks like maybe it is the temp sensor. Thanks for your help guys.
