9 inchers on the rear??

Post by s10-den »

I searched and didnt see anything.Has anyone seen the astro van in the sport truck magazine in one of the adds?its a white cargo with the "perfect" look I'm after. But have no idea what size rims the front and rear are. They look like 17x9 and maybe 17x6 or 7's. ..anyone????

Skip, this should give you an idea of what a hooptie is:

My take on the word is any ride where the work is done half ass in an effort to be cheap yet still be able to attain the look of a custom ride.

let me get this straight, does a vehicle have to meet any of the requirements, combination of them or all of them?

If its any of them, then its pretty much the only kind of cars I've ever owned (with a few exceptions.....)

Any one of the mentioned or more, and you got yourself an official "Hooptie".. :muhaha:
I have had plenty of hoopties.I consider a "hooptie" a backup or 3rd ride thats just sits there until needed,or I just feel like going out in da woods and giving it mortal hell !Anything that doesnt get driven, washed, maintained,(except the rims, gotta keep them clean and armorall'ed) is my hooptie.... :guitar:

So I found a place to "custom make" MY rear rims into 8-9 inchers out of my original rims with the dog dish center caps..Does anyone on here know if they will fit witout sticking out(to much),then I'll run a 275-50-15 or a 265-50-15 on the rear and keep the original fronts as they are with a different tire to match up with the rear side profile,if not, guess ill do some serious measuring...lol
