Hi there.
Regards from Iceland.
Well I am not English or American so you have to forgive me that my English is rather poor. Anyway I was sending a mail to Overland regarding a lifting kit and .Dan told me about this forum. I have 98 Astro LT AWD that “need” to be lifted some day. I am thinking of 4-5“ when I have the $ available.
I will follow up later with some pictures of lifted Icelandic Astro‘s

Hi welcome to the board. I don't think we have anyone else from Iceland on here yet. If your thinking of lifting your van that will just be the start of the mods. Its kind of like a sickness. But a good sickness.

If he isn't already, Dan should be getting a commission for all the traffic he sends this way.
That is how it happened for me too,
Brutalis, and I am very happy with the (2-inch)lift kit I got from Overland Vans.

You will need WIDE tires along with a lift ,if you are going to be going out on the glaciers........
I've seen what you crazy Icelanders do......
driving around in no man's land.....

Thanks for warm welcome.
It is true what we do with the cars so we can drive off-road here in the winter time. The ground is then frozen and deep snow over the highland so we can drive off road without damaging everything.
Here you can see typical trip to the highlands and few Americans cars. (This side have nothing to do with me)
