Finished the front end, and roll pan. Customer decided he wants to suicide the sliding door. So it's still gonna be around for a while. and I thought I was done.
It's looking good man, it's ashame you had to cut the bottom of the front bumper (so it exposes the front "cradle"). I will be curious to see how you rock the slider. Also I can't wait to see what rim selection he goes with. Anyways, keep up the good work. Cheers.

now that is a handsome beast...you've done such a nice job...i can't wait to see the slider, i keep toying with the idea of doing my slider that way...
I'm gonna make some sort of plate mount to replace the section I had to cut out of the bumper. Also, the suicide sliding door has been delayed. We are going to bag the whole thing front and back first. Than see if there is enough room for the massive hinges that are required for the sliding door.
Who can help me with the rear bagging on these vans? I'm very familiar with bagging s-10's but never an astro. From what I can tell I'll need a decent sized notch on the frame, proly cut out some of the floor for axle clearance. So I think I'm gonna do a simple 2 link with a panhard bar. I should be able to use the stock spring perches to hold the 2 link bars, and put the bags over the 2 link bars, or I can do bag over axle. Anyone have ideas or experience please chime in.
i used myself the suicide doors kit http://www.suicidedoors.com/rear-airbag ... lam-spec-1 but the best way on these is a reverse triangulate 4-link if ur keeping the stock gas tank where it is the notch can be a simple one heres a couple pics i also left the leaf springs and i get plenty low in the back just move the brake line from the top of the diff and cutting out the bump stop plate is real fun to put that notch in as far as the front its the same as an s10 just the cups are different i' ve heard some bad things about doing a two link on these alot of em are done with parallel 4-link and panhard bar or the reverse triangulated 4-link theres a couple of us on here that can help with this i'm sure
oh and one other thing i thought of the oil pan sits lower than the frame on these so be careful when dragging or cruising low you take the drain plug right off heres mine from last year i didnt to a friend and ended up getting towed home in 0 degrees last winter
