I'm getting pissed off

Post by Kabey's Van »

I hope this post gets posted!!!! Everytime I go to submit a post I get kicked off the site. I had a lengthy post in reply to Larry's post regarding my Jag r/e. When I clicked on the submit button I lose the posts text and I get booted of the site. WTF This has happened 6 times now.

I think it's all 'cause of your attitude.... :muhaha:

Hope you find the problem, I know what it's like to lose 600-800 words of text. Makes you wanna shoot the 'puter with a 12 gauge.

if it keeps doing it - maybe try a word document or similar - and before you post cut and paste it into a word document and save just in case it crashes - sounds like a connection problem with your ISP or something

This may not help at all, but give it a shot. Delete the cookie files for this site. Then try and see what happens. I have had a lot of weird things happen on various sites because of cookie problems.

This is probably the 1st i have heard of such a problem ( since) we got the bugs worked out awhile back.

Have a look at this info...http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E505.html not that its going to make alot of sense but hey...

What OS are you using? ( windows xp,vista...linux...mac ) browser and version ( I.E... Opera...Firefox...Safari ) are you running? has this ever happened on any other site than ASV ? are you on dial-up or cable?

If you continue to have these problems you may want to look at http://www.opendns.com/ and using their servers, I have used them now for almost 2 yrs and don't have any problems at all, as a added bonus it makes surfin the web a little quicker as well.

And its already been mentioned BUT i'll say it again, its always a good idea to highlight/select and copy your post anytime it is something detailed that has taken you awile to work on, that way if your post doesn't go thru the 1st time you can simply paste it into a new post and try again. We don't generally have these types of problems at ASV but as you found out, things can go wrong.

I have this same problem here! I just thought it was just me.
Your Web server does not support, or refuses to support, the HTTP protocol version specified by the client in the HTTP request data stream sent to the server.
I'm using XP Home with IE7. So does that mean ASV doesn't support that environment? What should I be using?
2004 Chevy Astro. Mostly stock for now.
Daily driver with 165,000 mi on the clock.

No, ASV works fine in XP, Vista and on IE 6 and 7. It's not a browser compatability issue.
I have a ban hammer and I ain't fraid to use it!
