13. Remove the EBCM (2) from the BPMV (4). Removal may require a light amount of force.
Important: Do not use a tool to pry the EBCM or the BPMV. Excessive force will damage the EBCM.
Important: Do not reuse the EBCM mounting bolts. Always install new bolts.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the new transfer tubes(13) into the combination valve (12).
2. Install the combination valve (12) onto the BPMV (4).
3. Install the three alien bolts (11) that fasten the combination valve (12) to the BPMV (4). Tighten the three allen bolts to 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.), then to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) .
4. Install the EBCM gasket (3) onto the BPMV (4).
5. Insure gasket alignment is correct.
Important: Do not use RTV or any other type of sealant on the EBCM gasket or mating surfaces.

* Tighten the four bolts to 5 Nm (39 inch lbs.) in an X-pattern.
8. Install BPMV (4) to bracket (7).
9. Install the three BPMV to bracket retaining bolts (9).
o Tighten the three bolts to 9 Nm (7 ft. lbs.) .
10. Connect the four electrical connectors to the EBCM (2).
11. Install the ECU to the vehicle frame.
o Tighten the three bolts to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.) .
12. Install the right front, left front and rear brake pipes to the tube adapters (6).
o Tighten the three brake pipe fittings to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) .
13. Install the front and rear brake pipes (from master cylinder) to the combination valve (12).

Re: here's how to replace faulty ABS dump valve.
went by the dealership today.....found out raybestos was doing the reman. on the ABS units however they may no longer be available.....over the phone I was told they would be....so unconfirmed as of yet.......cost through dealer when they were available was $1600 and change. not cheap by any means......even the parts guy suggested i disable the ABS system altogether......i'm worried about getting a junk yard unit only to have it go out on my as well..... i will try calling raybestos to see if i can find anything....

Re: here's how to replace faulty ABS dump valve.
and doing more research....appears the entire assembly must be swapped out as it's only sold as an entire assembly.....so far the good news is it's still listed as an available part on the raybestos site........ here's a quick link. they have multi angle pics there to look at...

Re: here's how to replace faulty ABS dump valve.
pics didn't work, at least a far as I can see. man that seems like a complicated replacement.
post the images again, pleez. The dump valve is a main culprit in brake pedal travel before the brakes engage, like half way to the floor. VERY informative post, please continue.

Re: here's how to replace faulty ABS dump valve.
The pics are fine here also. The exploded view is what's in the Smilie van. It has the proportioning as an integral part. The proportioning valve went bad in mine. I bought a complete ABS unit from my local salvage for $75. I had to use a pressure bleeder to get the air out of it.
