how fast should the oil go into the compressor out of the oiler

I set it for a drip every few seconds. You could probably do a little less frequent but I figure oil is cheap compared to a compressor.

I never finished the OBW...well actually the alternator was converted and a bracket was built. The problem was the location of the bracket. It would probably fit on a V-8 though as it would probably be far enough ahead to clear the hydroboost accumulator on the brake master cylinder. The bracket is made for a 96+ vortec engine.

alright well i picked everything up today so hopefully i can get this to work i even got a hose setup for the compressor off a blazer so i have more to work with

i'm going to try as i'm in a hurry to get it running check out the header thread i made thats why nothing else has gotten done i've been working on those all week

ok i just finished up and everything works great the edc is faster than i had expected and it fills both tanks rapidly i still have the two viairs connected to help it along but before it took almost 10 min to fill the tanks but now it takes about 5 min to fill and go ill take pics of it installed and instead of using the stock a/c lines i went to the local pick n pull and got a/c lines off a 96-newer s10/blazer b/c they go straight towards the front instead of around the back of the motor and i put in a check valve on the outlet side

Nice pics. Glad you got it working. Did you put a coalescing filter in the outlet line from the compressor? If not, your tank(s) will eventually fill up with a messy oil/water mess.

yeah i already had one for the electric compressors but they still get water in em i've got a drain that i open every couple of days

I will have to look into this further as I would love on-board air using the GM compressor.

yes it works great until you forget to oil it i found a sanden compressor that replaces the stock one that is way more reliable and i have had it for two years now
