well i had to replace my water pump on my 1992 astro it sucked!! but it is done and no leaks!! i woke up to go start the van and i found a puddle of coolant under my van it did not overheat so i was like what! okay so i checked everything and i saw coolant dripping from the water pump weep hole i was like ooh shit this is going to take a while! well it was not to bad except that damn fan shroud! it is all put back together now and the fan shroud is in one peace i did not break it thank-god.! i replaced the pump,studs for pulley,lower rad. hose, upper rad. hose. i bought a thermostat it is a 180degree fail-safe but did not install it yet.

Water pump? I wimped out on that one and found some excuse to pay the $300 and have a mechanic do it for me. As for my shroud... It looks like Frankenstein. When I lifted my van, i had to cut it apart and I stitched it back together using zip ties. It looks scary but has been fine for over a 100k!

=D> i rememeber doing the 95's but can't remember taking the shroud out.... i remember the removal and installation being pretty straight forward a couple hours in the sun and a couple cans of coke got the job done
