Most bang for the buck in alternator upgrade

I have read several posts about using the Caprice alternator and have seen them for sale for about $150. Is there any way to get up to 200 amps without crossing $200?
New owner of a 1996 Astro named "Plain Jane" - stock right now - with 200,000 miles on it and running like a champ

None that I've seen. I had one built for 160

I bought a 160 amp 4 years ago for 125.00. still goin strong. Got it on e-bay out of chi-cago
