questions about engine stroker kits and such
Ok I have a 1996 350 4 bolt block from a 30 series chevy van. I would like to build this using the 400 crank kit. Now my questions: has anyone successfully built one of these and used TBI on it? and if so what do I need to know to do this and what company do you recommend for the kit? I live in New England and it gets cold so the TBI is better in the cold then a carb system. Also is it possible to use a gear drive in place of the timing chain or will that cause knock sensor problems? Thank you, Mark

Re: questions about engine stroker kits and such
I purchased a stroker kit from this company:

I bought the kit a few years ago but unfortunately I haven't put it together yet. What I did like about the company was their customer service. Even before I had made a purchase I called their tech line and bugged them with questions many times. When I thanked the guy on the phone for his patience, considering I had not actually purchased anything from him, this was his response:
"No problem! I would rather have you call and ask the question and know how to do this right, than have you experience engine problems just because you did not ask. Call back as much as you like, even if you don't buy anything from us."
They are pretty friendly in Missouri!
