The sliding door on my 95 has started to get pretty hard to open. I'm sure my girlfriend will be breaking the handle very soon.
I finally took a look at it tonight, it's only tough until you crack it open an inch or so then it moves nice and easy. The latch is dragging on the anchor pin and I'm not sure what to repair or adjust to fix it.
Here is a picture of the door right before the pin ramps it up to where it's supposed to be.
Here's the anchor pin, you can see where the latch is contacting it.
This is the part of the latch that is dragging the pin.
Can kind of see it in this pic.
I can raise the back of the door by hand and watch it, it seems to get it away from the pin somewhat. There is some wear on the back hinge but it doesn't seem too bad. Anyone know what i need to do to get this working right?

Check the rollers that ride in the tracks. That pin wear has something to do with it also I would say. Won't take much play in the hinge for the door to drop down. I had to wrestle mine around to get it to work right as the previous owners told me their kids were hanging on it and bent it.

Re: Sliding door (large pics)
Make your pics smaller please!
The door should not drop at all when opened or closed. The rollers or pins are worn and need replacement.
