I am looking for a replacement ecm. I am planning to get it from RockAuto.com and they have three options. Standard Motor Products, A-1 Cardone and AC Delco. All are remanufactured. I just want to know if anyone has any opinions on one of these brands.

No personal experience but AC Delco would be the logical choice. Although, I have used Standard Motor Products parts for more than 30 years and have never had a failure.

I would usually agree with you about the Delco parts, but a recent experience has me questioning that belief. I needed a high speed blower resistor when the original one failed after 20 years. The AC Delco replacment only lasted a few months. It seems they really don't make them like they used to. Thanks for the input on Standard Motor Products.

I beleive I have a 7747 computer sitting in my garage that should run your van. I got if from the wreckers a few years ago in plans for a future v8 swap but wrote the van off. If your interested in it you can have it for the cost of shipping.
