Thermagasket?

I posted in the "what did you do with your van" section about replacing my water pump due to a green puddle on the driveway under my van about center left. Well, I took everything off to get to the pump (ie; fan shroud, fan, belt pulley, etc) and low and behold the pump was not leaking. Since the 4.3 sits back in a cave, I grabbed my trusty flashlight and began the search for the leak. This is a slow but steady drip so it wouldn't be hard to find now that everything was out of the way. I found it...the drivers side cylinderhead is leaking where it mates up to the block. Fortunately I don't have anything leaking into the cylinderhead.
This is an expensive fix that I'm not prepared at the moment to do so I was wondering if anyone has heard of or used Thermagasket? I spoke with a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he suggested I try it until I can pull the engine and fix it myself.
I went ahead and ordered the kit along with a flush kit. I'll post on here how good it works but it looks like it will do the trick. I was just wondering if anyone has used it here.
