OBDII Ready - Driving Cycle

To pass emissions near Chicago the OBD-II system needs to have no DTCs present and report a 'Ready' status. After reconnecting the battery from the transmission rebuild, Green was reporting 'Not Ready' even after driving it around for a few days. That lead me to search online for GM's Driving Cycle and this is what I found.
1) Cold start
2) Idle to operating temperature/closed loop
3) 50% throttle to 55 mph or greater
4) Steady 55 mph or greater for 3 minutes
5) Coast down to 20 mph (no braking, vehicle in gear)
6) 75% throttle to 55 mph or greater
7) Steady 55 mph or greater for 3 minutes
8) Coast down to 20 mph (no braking, vehicle in gear)
9) Stop vehicle
10) Idle 10 seconds
11) Turn vehicle off
12) Turn key to on position
13) Check OBD-II for codes/readiness
Steps 11+12 are required. Green would continue to report 'Not Ready' without those steps.
Green now reports 'Ready' and will be going to emissions today.
