The 88

Post by WACK »

Thought I would post a few pics of my new van. It is an 88 Astro shorty 4.3/auto passenger van I just picked up in Seattle for 800USD. She has just shy of 137K miles and seems to run like a top. The van has a g80 locking 3.42 rear, ac, cruise, 4 bucket seats (though the middle 2 are MIA) and the rear bench. The interior is in great shape except for the headliner and front 2 seats are a bit worn. The van has new window tint all around, tires, wheels, idler arms, belts and hoses, water pump, plugs, and various other small things with receipts all within the lat 5K or so. The story goes that the people I bought it from were getting it ready for their daughter to drive but, due to unsatisfactory grades, they decided to sell it. The exterior is also quite nice save for the black paint around the windows chipping off and a long scratch/shallow crease on the passenger side and some light surface rust on the roof. All systems work (even all the doors open!!) and I am SOO happy to have found her. Comments welcome!

Took some pics of the inside as well but due to the overcast day and my camera phones cruddy camera they didn't come out. I will post up some interior pics another day.

Nice looking van. Good score with the G80. Got any planned mods?
