need some help......i'm looking to get a rear sway bar now that the van is lowered. the bell tech i know isn't going to work. hellwig may be iffy as the bar routes itself along the outside of the diff. housing. does the addco go over the housing? how about the factory bar? please help as i'm looking at doing this soon. thanks.

I have the factory rear swaybar on my 89 Astro and the bar extends to the rear of the van where it's fastened to the frame rails by two bushing-isolated downlinks.

thanks for the response rob.......however the part i'm wondering about specifically is the center part of the bar which would go around the rear end gear housing.....if the bar goes over top of it or around the outside.....if you could let me know that would be great.

also, would a factory bar work on an extended model or just the shorty...

Can't find a photo of it, unfortunately, but the rear sway bar passes behind the differential, as I recall.
